The wall unit looks good from a distance, but the paint job is a problem. The metal sheets are thinner than the frame and they flex. The sheets and frame are apparently painted as one piece, so when a sheet flexes, the paint cracks and exposes the metal underneath. And it doesn't look like weathering or a shabby chic effect. It looks like a defect. The paint job is also rough and uneven, like it was applied someplace dusty.
Some of the inner pieces are also more crooked than I would like. There's about 3/16 inch difference between the left and right side of one of the upper middle compartment, which leaves it looking more crooked than the photo. I'm sure it will vary from piece to piece. The real problem, though, is the paint. Everything else is acceptable.
Fix the paint ops and it will be a winner. As-is, it's a return or a repair project, and either option is a disappointment. I was planning to buy several more of these, but I'll have to put that on hold unless the paint issue is fixed. A shame - I really like the look.
